Amongst the constant government guideline changes, our audit team is striving to provide you with the highest quality services whether working onsite or remotely! We are always on top of the guidelines to ensure we can safeguard our team and our clients against any risk!
Our team has ensured our audit work is fully on a remote access system, increasing the ease of sharing information faster within the team as well as with you, ensuring our productivity remains high even when working from home, miles apart!
There may be additional work carried out due to COVID-19 related government schemes, grants or loans e.g. furlough. Though the four basic evidence gathering techniques – observation, inspection, inquiry and analytical procedures – do not strictly require us to be on-site, we may need to compensate for the lack of physical proximity in some areas (e.g. inventories) by asking for additional evidence to ensure we know your situation in more depth.
In some cases where necessary, we may need to revise our audit approach and risk assessments to take into consideration the extent to which the audited entity is affected by COVID-19; its health financially and operationally. Many companies’ internal controls may have shifted due to remote working. We are working diligently to analyse how the new business continuity measures have been implemented, how this affects the overall audit process and what evidence exists relating to the implementation that would allow us to appropriately test the changing internal processes and controls.
Our quality control requirements as per ISQC1 and ISA 2020 can still be met via virtual meetings and online file access, thus we are able to assure high quality compliance while carrying out our audit remotely or on-site!
