When it comes to payroll, it’s all about service!

Hear about our trials, tribulations and triumphs as the team at RW Payroll Services in Huddersfield share their experiences on all matters payroll.

This issue:  Why our fantastic team gives the best payroll bureau service in town.

The town is Huddersfield, the team is RW Payroll: Joanne, Majad, Jennifer (me), Nicola and Vicky.  As the partner responsible for our payroll service, I am really proud of the team and the great service they provide to our payroll clients.

Payroll bureau client comments It is wonderful to see and hear the positive comments from clients, which I am delighted to say we receive on a regular basis.  It’s great to see the payroll bureau working like a well-oiled machine, but when reflecting on this, I got to thinking back on the journey from where we were a few years ago.

Some things haven’t changed – we always had helpful clients and good relationships with them, we always had the Star payroll bureau software, and we always had experienced payroll staff in the team.

Payroll teamwork

What we’ve worked on, as a team, is the system.  Back then, the payroll bureau worked – but not quite like clockwork!  Each team member knew about their own clients, and cared about them passionately.  But there wasn’t enough sharing of knowledge, responsibility, new quirks or best practice.

Over the last few years, we’ve introduced systems which allow us to work more fluidly, such as the job management system, which allows any member of the team to see exactly what stage a payroll job is at.  We’ve got detailed permanent notes for every client, and a system to ensure these are updated as soon as there are any changes.  We have risk assessments to inform our review processes, and a system of key checks performed on every payroll to ensure quality control.

And when it comes to communication, we talk (to each other about problems and solutions) and we listen (to clients’ comments, questions and concerns) and we question (why do we do it this way? Is there a better way?).

So yes, we love our payroll bureau in the heart of Huddersfield.  We believe we are the best!
