Here we go again!
Per the Press, approx. 6 million people are to receive repayments from HMRC. The repayments relate to 2007/08, individuals affected should hear from HMRC by December 2012.
But, nearly 1.2 million people will also receive letters informing them they have underpaid tax for 2010/11. Underpayments on average will be between £500 and £600 pounds.
Revell Ward Tip:
If you receive a notice make sure that you check it carefully to ensure that it is correct. If the under payment is correct then you should have the option of spreading what is owed over a period of time, by having the under payment included in your tax code.
