We are very pleased to announce that Karen Borowski and Jennifer Davies have raised £1,200 for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, a charity based in Huddersfield.
The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is about enjoying life, it provides a chance to play, to communicate, and to experience new things, to learn, to love and to laugh. The staff caring for the families do everything they can to make children happier and more fulfilled while they are with the hospice, however long or short that may be.
The hospice needs to raise £3.2 million each year to continue the support and care services that they provide to the children and their families. The majority of the funding comes from our local community and it is a pleasure to give something back.
Karen and Jennifer have recently raised funds for a number of charities whilst completing their 13 in 2013 Challenge, where the duo took on thirteen bike rides in 2013 on their tandem.
Karen Borowski said, “Forget Me Not have really invested in people’s lives and have improved the lives of families that would have otherwise have been struggling to cope emotionally and physically. Russell House is an amazing place to live, learn, laugh and love and most of all has great energy”
